It’s a brutal winter in the Northeast this year. We are getting pounded with snow. It has been a heavy wet snow.
One major concerns for alot of home owners this year is the amount of stress the snow is putting on roofs. How does one remedy this? Answer: a roof rake.
As you can see from the picture, I was able to remove a vast majority of the snow and alleviate the amount of snow on the roof.
Roof rakes come in different sizes. I got a 21 ft roof rake. It was rather easy to assemble and took about 15 mins. It is basically a shovel with a long aluminum pole attached. It did the job.
I had a hard time finding one in stores such as Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart. They were all out of stock. You could order online but that takes a week or so to receive it. I found my roof rake at a local True Value store.
